This content may be out of date or broken, please take care.Apologies for the late post, I am really bogged under with work lately – got to love final year!
As much as I would love to spend all my time working on my project – especially now I am so close to actually starting to code! – I have spent most of my time working on another assessment for University.
I have done some work though, the first has been designing a poster for my progress review, and you can check it out here. My other work leads on from my previous post; which was further developing my work on the system design. Firstly after refreshing my memory on object inheritance, I would like to update last week’s class diagram with the correct version of the decorator pattern – including my Main() class.
The diagram is still quite preliminary, and of course there will be more instruments as the project progresses. My choices for going with the decorator pattern were mainly to increase the scalability of the project – I wanted to avoid a class explosion and the repetition of code. This allows the application of the open/closed OO principle.
